How can I automatically select follow-up email variants based on questionnaire answers?

In snapAddy VisitReport, follow-up email variants can be dynamically preselected based on a single select question in the questionnaire. You configure this setting in the follow-up email settings of the respective event.

With the "Preselect variants based on answers" feature, you can make your follow-up email delivery even more targeted. Depending on which answer a visitor gives in the questionnaire, the appropriate follow-up email variant is automatically preselected.

Only one single select question can be used for this feature. When app users select an answer linked to a variant, they receive a subtle notification that a follow-up email variant has been preselected. The preselected variant can be manually changed by app users if needed. For answer options without an assignment, the variant selection remains open.

How to set up the feature

  1. Open the desired event in the VisitReport dashboard
  2. Navigate to Follow-up Emails → Settings
  3. Enable the option "Preselect variants based on answers"
  4. The "Question" dropdown menu only displays questions of type "Single Select". Select the desired question.

  5. In the "Assignment" section, assign the corresponding emails variant to the desired answer options. Not every possible answer option needs to be assigned a follow-up email.

  6. Click "Save"

Only one follow-up email variant can be selected for each answer option.
