How to set up the phone number format
How to set phone numbers according to your preferences.
Phone numbers come in many notations – with or without an international prefix, with the area code in brackets or separated by a slash. To make sure captured numbers are written into your CRM system in a clean, consistent way, you can store a preferred format.
You define the preferred phone number format in the General Settings at organization level; the setting then applies to all snapAddy products in your subscription. Alternatively, each user can choose the format individually, for example directly in snapAddy LeadResearch.
Setting the format globally
- Open the General Settings at app.snapaddy.com/settings/general.
- Choose the format you want. There are three options:
- Fixed format – applies to all members of the organization.
- Dynamic format based on the country of origin – an appropriate format is pre-selected automatically depending on the contact’s origin.
- Individual – each user sets the format themselves.
Setting the format individually (e.g. in snapAddy LeadResearch)
- Open the LeadResearch client and go to Settings.
- Click Phone number preset and select the format you want.
Once a format is selected, every newly captured phone number is automatically parsed into that format – part of the consistent data formatting many customers value in snapAddy.
