How can I restrict when meetings can take place?

Specify the days and times when meetings are allowed to take place.

To restrict the days and/or times of day when meetings are allowed to take place, open your event, go to Meetings in the left-hand menu and then to Settings. The relevant block is Dates available for meetings. By default, meetings can take place at any date and time of day.

Example: A trade fair is scheduled from 13/07 to 15/07. The fair starts daily at 9:00 and ends at 18:00. Set these values to ensure that meetings can only take place within this timeframe.

The section offers two independent options that you can enable separately or combine:

Meetings can only take place on specified dates limits the calendar range. When enabled, set the First day (first day on which meetings can take place) and/or the Last day (last day on which meetings can take place). At least one of the two dates is required. Meetings can then only take place, and resources can only be booked, within that date range.

Meetings can only take place at specified times of the day limits the daily time window. When enabled, set the Start time (the earliest time meetings can begin each day) and/or the End time (the latest time meetings can end each day). At least one of the two is required.

If you leave both options disabled, meetings can take place at any date and time of day, and users can book available resources without restriction. This granular scheduling control is one of the reasons VisitReport Meetings is valued by many customers for on-site event planning.

Hint: If you instead want to restrict the timeframe within which users can create new meetings or edit existing ones, follow the instructions in this article.
