How to setup and use Voice AI

Activate Voice AI to enable your users to use the smart voice assistant in the VisitReport App


Activate Voice AI in the VisitReport Dashboard

Admins and Event Managers can enable or disable Voice AI for each event individually.

How to activate Voice AI:

  1. Go to the VisitReport Dashboard and select an event.
  2. Click on "Voice AI" in the left sidebar.
  3. Click "Activate Voice AI." A pop-up will ask you to acknowledge the current data processing agreement (mandatory since we use third party services for Voice AI).
  4. Optionally, you can consent to sending transcripts of conversations with Voice AI to snapADDY to help us improve the system. You can withdraw the consent at any time.

Voice AI is now activated and can be used in the VisitReport app!

Use Voice AI in the VisitReport App

Once activated for an event, Voice AI is available in the VisitReport app on every questionnaire page. Open the conversation by tapping or swiping up on the "Talk to Voice AI" bar at the bottom. Voice AI will communicate with the user in the language chosen in the app settings.

To start voice recognition, tap the round microphone button and begin speakingโ€”e.g., summarize a conversation with a customer. Voice AI will extract relevant answers based on your summary and fill in the questionnaire automatically.

At the bottom left of the Voice AI view, youโ€™ll find two buttons:

  • ๐Ÿ”Š Voice output โ€“ Turns voice output on/off.
  • ๐ŸŽค Automatic listening โ€“ Enables/disables automatic listening after a response so you don't need to tap the button for voice recognition again once started.

Current Limitations of Voice AI during the Beta phase

Voice AI is still in active development and currently available as part of a Beta phase to all VisitReport customers. Be aware that Voice AI might make mistakes or respond with unexpected answers.

Voice AI will ignore all unsupported question types at the moment. However, you can always fill in these questions manually. We are working on supporting them in the future!

Limitations regarding question configuration and dependencies

Dependent questions
Assume your questionnaire has two questions, A and B, where B depends on your answer to A.  Note that Voice AI cannot process answers to both questions in a single voice message. You will have to answer A first, such that B appears, and then answer B in another, separate voice message.

Subquestions
Are currently unsupported by Voice AI.

Required and suggested questions
Are currently not highlighted by Voice AI. When trying to export a report with unanswered required or suggested questions, users will still be notified as usual by the app.
