How do I connect snapAddy to my CRM system?

Connecting snapAddy to your CRM system enables you to directly export contacts, business cards, and reports. The setup can be done either via the snapAddy portal or directly in the apps and is subsequently available to all snapAddy products.

Prerequisites

Before setting up the CRM connection, please ensure you have the following information:

  • Access credentials for your CRM system (username, password, or API token)
  • CRM permissions to create and edit records

Supported CRM Systems

snapAddy offers seamless integrations with many CRM systems. The connection is established via OAuth or API token and is centrally managed in your snapAddy organization settings. The CRM connection setup is possible both via the snapAddy portal and directly in the apps (BusinessCards, VisitReport).

The most commonly used CRM systems include:

  • Salesforce
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • HubSpot
  • SAP Sales Cloud
  • Pipedrive
  • and many others

Setting up the CRM Connection

You can set up the connection to your CRM system in two ways:

Via the snapAddy Portal:

  1. Log in to snapAddy
  2. Navigate to Settings and click on CRM Connection


  3. Select your CRM system in the system integration and follow the instructions


  4. Make any necessary settings and click Save and Connect

Note for Administrators or New Customers:

For the CRM connection to work optimally for your use case and transfer all information, you may need an individual CRM mapping or would need to create a workflow together with the snapAddy team.

If you are setting up the connection for the first time, you will need to perform an additional step for Salesforce. Further information can be found in the article:

Directly in the Apps (BusinessCards, VisitReport):

  1. Open the app settings. The app shown in green here is BusinessCards and the app shown in burgundy is VisitReport


  2. Go to the CRM section and tap on Export to CRM or Connect to CRM


  3. Select your CRM system and click Okay


  4. Make any necessary settings and click Connect
  5. Follow the authentication process for your CRM

  • Permissions: Ensure that your users have the necessary rights in the CRM
  • Duplicate Detection: snapAddy offers intelligent duplicate checking to avoid data duplication
  • Updates: The CRM connection is regularly checked for validity
  • Security: All connections are transmitted encrypted (GDPR-compliant)
  • Cross-Product: A CRM connection can be used by all snapAddy products

General Troubleshooting

Connection fails:

  • Check your access credentials
  • Ensure that your CRM is accessible (no firewall blocking)
  • For API tokens: Check if the token is still valid
  • Contact your CRM administrator for permission checks

Export does not work:

  • Check the CRM connection in the settings
  • Ensure that all required fields are filled in
  • Read through the error message displayed to you
  • Check the CRM permissions for your user
  • Contact support or your Customer Success Manager for mapping adjustments

Fields are not filled correctly:

  • Check the CRM mapping
